Mobiles and laptops -the perfect combination.
We all know about mobile phones -yes? We all know about laptops -yes? So what is new in the world of these two technologies? a lot, but can they co-exist in harmony where one technology is deliberately not trying to step on the others toes?
Mobiles are a great technology and to be honest I don't think they will ever replace the portable laptop computer. Both do their own thing in a great way. Mobiles are needed for the everyday needs and now they are web enabled - wi-fi and bluetooth and this does not mean that the lowly laptop is consigned to the wilderness and will be a thing of the past. For One thing, you really need the large keyboard the laptop computer offers. The blackberry keypad is great but honestly you are never going to sit under a tree and merrily type away your report - or this article for that matter.
So yes you need both of them to work in harmony. So why not buy them together on the same bill? Some mobile phone retailers are now offering great deals with the laptop included as the gift.
Toshiba really do have a good reputation when it comes to laptops. People who know, I mean really know get a Toshiba Laptop. In a word, they are tough and will stand the test of time. They are also quite expandable with memory. You cannot really compromise on the quality when i comes to laptop computers. I'll give you a simple reason that you may of not of thought and that is the keyword --if one of the keys break you have to take the whole item back to the manufacturer and wait and wait. Or any other little component that you may have break on you. So in short --don't risk it get a good quality laptop machine.
The great thing about laptop computers and mobile phones is that there is the connector called the USB wireless broadband dongle. Think of a modem --which it is (in a way) but with a Sim Card implanted into it --and hey presto you've got a wireless laptop connected to the Internet. Note though you cannot call people with the dongle as it is not a mobile phone, but you can do it via Skype. If you set up a Skype account you can call people not apart of the network and make normal voice calls --simple. BT must be furious at the moment!
Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-17G
Yes I have the Toshiba brand laptop at home --truly I do. And I also got a discount on MS Vista Business edition for the early purchase, which was nice. But at the time the Dual-Core variety of CPU was too expensive. But now hey, you can get a very nice Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop and the latest phone together, and the laptop is thrown into the deal free. Windows Vista Home Edition is included and with the latest service packs that are coming out, will make Vista the safest choice.
You see you need the laptop as well as the mobile phone as they do not - yet have the power and storage space to compete with laptops. Well the Hard drive space for one is an issue. The Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-17g has an 80 gigabyte, compare that to any handset and it is miles ahead.
The TruBrite screen is fantastic as well, all you need to do is put a non-Tru Brite screen with one model that has the monitor as TruBrite and you SEE the difference immediately. The crisp, clear display is great for watching DVD's on the laptop --always an options when your on a long plane trip and do NOT want to watch the same on-flight video that you saw a month ago, or was shown on the flight when you got to your destination or departure. The WiFi certification make all the difference as well.
