Forget the mobile phone and change to a data modem instead!
The Huawei E220 Data modem offered on the Three network is a way to end the issues some people have with BT landline, that may be the line rental costs.
I for one do like like computer cables, and that means any cable that causes my like to become more and more tangled and confused. But an exception would be USB cables that ease the issues and allow -in this case -to connect to the internet in a wireless fashion. Wow! you could be anywhere in the UK and connect to the 3 / three network wirelessly and use your laptop computer at 3.6 Mbits/sec or 3.6 mega bits per second. Yes it uses EDGE, is 3G and Tri-band!
I think it's possible to consider the Huawei data modem a means to an end , to get rid of all the old twentieth century technology and say hello to the new century.
To go with the data modem 3 offers the Broadband Max tariff supplying 7 gigabytes a month access. But I think the tariffs will have to catch up to theses modems and offer a faster access speed. It also seems all the networks have a fair usage policy regarding the megabytes you download. So eventually YES cables will be a thing of the past, and laptop computers will be even more useful.
