Blu Ray Holographic storage and Mobile phones ..and more to come?
Holigraphic storage is probably what will come after Blu-ray has come and gone. Using multi-layered disc techology it can hold vast more amounts of data than its lesser relative Blu-ray drives. So what is one to do --nothing that's what.
Enjoy the latest blu-ray technology in the comfort of your own home with a Sony Play Station 3 as well as the latest games. It can also connect to the Internet and download data etc. The MS Xbox does not have blu-ray technology but MS probably will be releasing an add-on sometime soon as now the HD DVD technology is no more. That is not to say the MS Xbox is not a great system. Honestly the graphics between the PS3 and Xbox are 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Buy the one that suits your needs when it comes to the games it offers and your budget.
So what is the hurry for holographics? Well you can never have enough space on your computer and if you can develop a 500 gigabyte computer disc, Sony and the other film studios can release even higher quality films and keep one step ahead of the internet broadband limit. After all how many people will have the time to wait for a 30 gig movie to download over the internet, not even on the latest mobile phone data modems on the 3G broadband spectrum
So relax and look into buying an Xbox or a Ps3 or a Wii if that's your thing -- I think the graphics are important and personally I think the Wii Remote will run its course and the gaming industry will get back to high quality graphics as a real importance again. Because honestly I am not going to buy a Nintendo Wii to keep fit -- but it is still as good game system to buy, if you can find one!
